The Chuan (叠川) is mainland China's first prestige single malt whisky, launched by Pernod Ricardin December 2023 at the foot of Mount Emei in Sichuan. Led by Master Distiller Dr. Yang Tao, thewhisky is matured in three types of oak, American bourbon casks, Spanish sherry casks, and rareChinese Danling oak from Changbai Mountain delivering notes of vanilla, fruit, sweetness,sandalwood and mandarin peel. Crafted with local mountain spring water, a blend of European andChinese barley, and extended fermentation.
🍇 About Helan Mountain Winery (Xiaofeng)
Helan Mountain Winery takes its name from the majestic range in Ningxia, western China, a 200-kilometre mountain span rising up to 2,500 metres above sea level. "Helan" is an ancient Mongolianword meaning "beautiful horse," and the mountains have long marked the divide betweenagricultural and nomadic cultures.
Located on the Eastern Foothills at the 38th Northern Latitude, the same as Bordeaux, the region isknown as the "Bordeaux of the East" and sits within the World Winery Golden Belt. Established in1997, Helan Mountain Winery has rapidly become one of China's most acclaimed wineries, craftingwines in a pristine, pollution-free environment.

THE VINEYARD
Longview is a family-owned estate nestled in the Adelaide Hills, just outside the historic township of Macclesfield. Since its inaugural 2001 vintage, it has become one of Australia's most awarded vineyards. The Saturno family infuses their Italian heritage throughout, producing meticulous examples of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Pinot Grigio alongside classic Australian Shiraz, Cabernet and Chardonnay. Notably, Longview holds some of the oldest and most diverse Nebbiolo plantings in Australia.
