🏛️ About the Producer
Founded in 2013 by Yann Charlopin, son of the renowned Philippe Charlopin and his wife Justine Tissier, the domaine is based in Morey-Saint-Denis and works 4 hectares across Marsannay, Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne-Romanée, and Pernand-Vergelesses. Farmed organically (though not certified), the wines are juicy, aromatic, and terroir-expressive without over-extraction, a style inspired by Jean-Marie Fournier and Arnaud Mortet.

Fifty years ago, a blind tasting in Paris changed the wine world forever when California beat France, and nothing was the same again. This dinner recreates that spirit: top Bordeaux against Napa icons, premier cru Burgundy against California's finest Chardonnays, all served blind. Twenty seats. You be the judge.

• Damoiseau — Produced in Guadeloupe since 1942, Damoiseau is a true rhum agricole distilled from freshly pressed sugarcane juice. This creates a vibrant, grassy spirit characterised by delicate sweet sugarcane, floral, and spicy notes.
• Flamboyant — A premium, naturally coloured dark rum from Mauritius, blended from oak rums aged up to 7 years in ex-bourbon casks. Smooth and balanced with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and dry spices. Named after the red-blooming Flamboyant tree, the national flower of Mauritius.

🏛️ About Domaine Jean-René Germanier
Founded in 1886 in the heart of Valais, the estate is built on over a century of family continuity. Winemaker Gilles Besse, originally a jazz saxophonist with no formal wine background, joined the domaine at his uncle's request in the early 1990s and has since helped redefine the perception of Swiss wine through precision, sustainability, and a deep respect for Alpine terroir. Today regarded as one of Switzerland's benchmark producers.

🏛️ About the Producer
One of the few grand Champagne houses still family-run, Taittinger is today led by Pierre Taittinger's great-grandchildren Vitalie and Clovis. The estate works 288 hectares across 37 crus, with Chardonnay at its core. Its UNESCO-listed cellars sit 18 metres underground in fourth-century chalk quarries beneath the ruins of the Saint-Nicaise Abbey in Reims. The flagship Comtes de Champagne is a Blanc de Blancs aged ten years in those historic cellars. The Taittinger Collection Series, including the 1978 Vasarely bottle is released only in great vintages, designed by world-renowned artists, and aged five or more years on the lees for complexity.
